Residential door slab made of 24-gauge steel plates (skin) joint together with wood lock blocks. Space between two panels injected with insulation material (polyurethane foam) to avoid air pockets and to make slab energy efficient. Frames are made of wood and covered with heavy-duty laminate. Laminate protects frame from deterioration related to condensation, expansion, or contraction. The mortise or key lock hole reinforced with metal back plate for additional strength. The mortise also called strikeplate hole.
